Evaluate

To advise means to understand. The first step after signing a confidentiality agreement is to listen to you and truly understand your wishes. Before accepting any assignment, we take plenty of time to get to the bottom of your concerns with an open mind.

Advise

Recommendations arise during conversation. In the second step, we present you with options for action. In close consultation with you, we develop recommendations on how best to address your concerns.

Accompany

Implementation is teamwork. We provide reliable and competent support for the rapid implementation of measures. Our aim is to ensure that implementation is quick and efficient, right through to market launch, in the interests of your company’s success.

Empower

Innovation is based on knowledge. Our mission is to empower you to shape future development steps even more independently. To this end, we offer you a broad portfolio of tailor-made training and continuing education modules.

Empower

You get excited about things you believe in. Like everything else, plastic has its pros and cons. We want to help ensure that your products are shown in the best light, for your success, your customers’ benefit, and the good of the environment.

Our credo: The right plastic helps to overcome problems – using the wrong one creates problems!

Our goal is for you to be completely satisfied with your plastic products. The same goes for your customers, nature, and the environment. However, environmental concerns in particular are currently causing serious problems for plastics. They are blamed for having a major impact on the environment. Often rightly so, but often wrongly too—and this assessment is never trivial. However, it is always relevant for the future and significant for the success of your company. Decisions therefore require the highest level of expertise.

If a thorough analysis of your products reveals that no action is required, then the motto “Never change a running system” applies. However, even sticking with tried-and-tested methods requires professional communication with your customers, society, and politicians. We are happy to assist you in this process!

However, if the analysis recommends changes to your material base, alternatives must be identified and developed. This generates effort and costs. The aim must therefore be not only to reduce the environmental impact significantly and sustainably, but also to make your products even better – for your benefit and that of your customers. After all, the most environmentally friendly strategy can only be successful if the technical requirements for materials and products continue to be met convincingly.

Close but no cigar: Everything fits – except for one parameter

A common problem: You have found the perfect plastic and the perfect formula for your application. Everything works perfectly. Then it becomes apparent that one important parameter falls short of expectations. In terms of processing behavior, dimensional stability, joinability, strength or tear behavior, or something else entirely. Even more mysterious: you are producing today with the same material you used months and years ago. But suddenly, processing is no longer successful, the products no longer meet specifications, or they age and fail prematurely. Everyone involved in the production chain is convinced that they are doing everything as usual. Nevertheless, the result is not right. Most of the time, it is seemingly “small things” that determine success or failure. But you must identify them in order to take effective countermeasures. With professional expertise, extensive experience, and the use of powerful analytical methods, we find the weak point. We present you with options for how you can (re)develop the critical parameter to the desired range and are happy to assist you with the implementation.

More than just “plastic”: functional polymers for special applications

We generally understand “plastic” to mean a solid material that can be shaped into a wide variety of products through thermoplastic processing. Technical parts, containers, fibers, and films are examples. However, plastics have another side to them: as functional polymers, they are “secret helpers” in a wealth of other applications. For example, they can be used to adjust the flow properties of liquids, control the release of active ingredients or fertilizers, or achieve gentle yet brilliant cleaning effects. They can also be electrically and thermally conductive or serve as proton conductors in fuel cells, for example. Finally, they are finding increasingly diverse uses in medicine, from drug delivery to artificial organs. If you have any questions in this area, please do not hesitate to contact us.

When the wind changes: crisis counseling

As a manufacturer, packager, processor, or user of plastics, you are familiar with the situation: Suddenly, your previously proven products are under criticism. You are being held responsible for, for example, environmental pollution, the introduction of toxic substances into humans and the environment, or global warming. Such criticism can come from the press, the public, and politicians. Or it can come specifically from your customers. Or it can come as a strategic impulse from within your own company with the aim of making your product portfolio more sustainable.

If you are unable to provide a quick and convincing response, there is a risk that the situation will become critical for the success of your company. You need to react quickly and decisively. In the short term, this means knowledge-based communication. In the medium and long term, it means developing alternatives that demonstrably meet environmental requirements. We are happy to support you in all these challenges with expert advice and well-thought-out action!
